A home away from home — for everyone
Being able to pop by for a visit with his Mom at Balmoral Place is just as convenient as it always was for Steve.
“It means a lot to have Mom in our same small community. It’s just perfect. It’s a 10-minute drive. I can go over any time — and I do.”
Steve’s mom, Ina, enjoys the regular visits over coffee. “Being close to my son means a lot. Steve comes here nearly every day and we sit and have a coffee and often someone else will join us. Pretty well everyone here knows my son. They say, ‘Oh, Steve’s practicing for when he moves in here.’”
Everything is rosy with me.
“At 96-and-a-half years old, I’m doing pretty well,” says
Jim, a resident of Balmoral Place who’s already making
plans to celebrate his 100th birthday — and to continue
enjoying life at his new home. “Here at Balmoral,
everything is done for me so it’s a great place to live.”
Daughter Judy couldn’t agree more. “Peace-of-mind is
everything. The front desk staff can tell me where my
father is at any given minute. They’re amazing, incredibly
helpful. As a retired nurse, a big deal for me is that
there’s a nurse on site. I’ve been very confident that my
dad has had good care.”
If mom’s happy, I’m very happy.
For Linda, her mother Karen’s move to
Balmoral Place Retirement Community has had
a positive impact on both their lives.
“Mom’s interacting with people and doing
something social and not sitting in her place all by
herself. There’s a pub, pool tables, a putting green,
a movie theatre. It’s like a docked cruise ship. It’s
everything she wanted. She couldn’t be happier and
if she’s happy, I’m very happy.”
Today’s to-do list: live a stress-free life!
For Stan and Lorna, life is no longer about household tasks or to-do lists. The focus is now all about enjoying their stress-free lifestyle at Balmoral Place.
“We lived in a house for 42 years. We lived in a condominium for 15 years and now we’re relaxing and being looked after. And we like it” says Stan.
Lorna has happily embraced their new lifestyle.
“What is not to enjoy? Everything is very good. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. There’s no stress. To us, it’s just a lovely lifestyle.”
Beauty is in the details.
All fuss, no muss is on the menu every day for Mavis, a resident at Balmoral Place. Meal time is all about enjoying the food in front of her, not the prep or clean-up associated with it, and that suits her palette just fine.
“The food is excellent and well-presented. They always do something a little extra, like a decoration on the plate. It’s just very appetizing — and I don’t have to buy it, I don’t have to cook it and I don’t have to do the dishes. So, it’s perfect as far as I’m concerned!”
